Looking for some suggestions on what type of light for the front door. Wife has hard time unlocking the door at night due to can’t see the key hole. So I would like to put some type of light to help but really haven’t found anything.

I really don't understand why Redwood didn't see the need for a dedicated porch light but I am using an older version of this LED light on my coach . . .

https://www.amazon.com/Upgraded-Waterproof-Wireless-270%C2%B0Wide-Install/dp/B07JH6YPRD/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1544725750&sr=8-1&keywords=LITOM+Upgraded+66+LED+Solar+Lights+Outdoor%2C+IP66+Waterproof+Wireless+Solar+Motion+Sensor+Lights%28White+Light%29%2C+270%C2%B0Wide+Angle%2C+Easy-to-Install+Security+Lights+for+Front+Door%2C+Yard%2C+Garage%2C+Deck-2+Pack

I love this solar powered light as it has a dim mode which is on all the time and then when it detects motion it goes into bright mode. The bright mode is indeed bright and I can see well when taking my dogs outside at night. Dim mode is dim enough to not disturb my neighbors but I can see the surrounding area. The light has switches on the side which makes it easy to toggle off if I'm outside with a campfire and don't wish to have the light on. I mounted it just above my door with industrial strength velcro so no drilling.

Interesting, we've had a light above the door on both our '12 36RL and current '16 36MB. With two bulbs, a bright Scare Lite, and a lower power bulb, operated independently by switches just inside the door.
Must be RW decided they could save a couple of bucks.

I agree with Michelle, our "16" RL has a porch light that has a yellow AND lear bulb inside. It has 2 separate switches inside, 1 for the clear bulb, and 1 for the yellow bulb..

SO......... Are you saying that you have NO light above the door,,,, and NO switches??

Similar to Michelle and Joe we have a twin bulb light above both doors and another in the frame by the steps.

It is the same on my 2012 36RL. Also have a light further forward near the cap.

The only light I have above the door is awning light , I have one light under the steps going up to entry door and a security light at front . No switches for those lights due to command center.

I do also have the light under the steps. It has always amazed me as to why Redwood chooses to take some of their short-cuts, but, they are a marketing driven company, and, they are part of the RV industry.

My 2018 MB doesn’t have the door light either but I do have the led strips in the awnings. I’m guessing this is why Redwood quit putting the lights above the door.

My has the door light as well as the LED strip on the awning. I'm glad we have the door light as we rarely put out the awning as it seems to be windy every where we stay. It's nice to have a light when we come back, as I won't leave the awning out when I'm not there. Just this year alone, I've seen three awnings that were ripped out of the walls or folded onto the roof of the trailer.

On the 2018 Redwood put on a wonderful LED that is very bright and controlled by OneCommand. Only problem is that it’s so far forward near the front cap it doesn’t illuminate the door. Not sure why they didn’t place it near the door.

So my 2017 39MB doesn’t have a light, but does have the security lights that Punks talked about forward on both sides. I also have an orange light under the stairs outside. I added a solar light from Amazon above the door. It’s been great and scares people off when in storage. Super easy instal with 3m VHB tape.

Serious. My 2014 was the two bulb - amber and clear. Kind of a neat fixture really.
