Electrical Outlets Popping Out...Has this happened to you?
More quality control issues...
To resolve, I cut a few 1/4" x 1" wood pieces and glued them in next the receptacles. It not only helps to hold the outlets straight and true, but it also keeps them from popping through the 1/16" paneling...
I did not do this to all of them (yet), but the regularly used outlets for sure (on each end of the kitchen island and the bathroom receptacles). Tight and straight now. When you push in or pull out, they are a LOT more firm feeling.
I think that part of the problem is the fact that the hole is over size, leaving little material for the tabs to lock against, in fact the holes are so larged that you can't even replace with a standard box without some additonal material added.
