Hello everyone, we are in Destin State Park, rained yesterday so I didn't notice it, but this morning water was coming out f the fresh water full connection. The water was running across the basement floor and exiting out the front of the fifth wheel. We have had problems with water running out the overflow hose in the past, as it was doing this morning. This is the first time it was complete no out of the fill connection.

I am using water from the fresh water tank with the pump to stop water from flowing under the coach.

We had our water pump replaced last summer at the Rally, could that be the problem once again?

Is there a way to and directions how to put a check valve I somewhere to stop city water from backfilling the fresh water tank?

If you have had this problem and found a solution please advise and thanks in advance.

Allen

If your fresh water tank is being filled while connected to city water, the problem is most likely a stuck or failed check valve in the pump. There should be a quarter turn inline valve between the inlet of the pump and the fresh water tank. We have chosen to close this valve to prevent city water from going backwards through the pump and into the tank. You may be able to see/access this valve through the small hinged door in the basement wall; if not it will require taking down that portion of the wall to get at it.

Thanks Jim and Mary, don't know why I didn't think of that?? I do that when I winterize so why not now? I just have to remember to change it when I need to use fresh water tank.
I will definitely do that.
Can't figure why the check valves give so much trouble. Our unit is a 2015 and now the second time same problem.
Anyway thanks for reminding me of the quarter turn valve.
