Woke up at 4 am this morning teeth chattering. 62 inside Rv set the temp last night to 68. thought maybe the propane was out because the heat ran fine the night before. So I got dressed and put a jacket on and went to check cylinder. It was 3/4 full vale was on . So I flipped off the thermostat waited a few seconds then flipped it back on and the thermostat clicked but no fan and no fire. Anybody have any suggestions. Lucky we have a stand alone heater and the fireplace. 42 outside so heat pump would strain to capture heat from the outside.

I had exactly the same problem a couple of years ago. It turned out to be the main board in the furnace.

I watched the tech re and re the board, as I recall the bracket holding the main board was screwed to the main fan cover. It was an easy replacement. I could replace it myself having seen how it was done.

We had the same problem last year. It definitely is an easy fix from the outside of the rig. I'm trying to find the name of the board we bought. By a Dinosaur Electronics control board. It is made in the US, has a three year warranty, and a light that signals any problems. It costs a bit more, but is more rugged than the original board. No affiliation with them, just a satisfied user.

where did you get the control board? I already had that bracket out this morning. But I could not troubleshoot the board.

Got mine from a repairman in VA. Look them up on the web and they have a dealer finder.

The Suburban SF42 furnace uses a Suburban 520820 Module Board. Lots of places to buy them.

Here is the Dinosaur Electronics conversion table.

http://www.dinosaurelectronics.com/UIB_Chart.htm

It says the conversion is the model FAN 50 Plus Pins. Amazon sells it for $103.
