Has anyone had to change out the LED light strips in your awning yet? They look like they just slide in or out but it looks like you have to separate the canopy roller from the support arm. Then, how is the electrical connected? Soldered and tape? Or other? Can you get various wattage and/or colors? Your help would be aporeciated.
They are self stick and you just peel the old one off from one end. The electrical connection on our FL is on the front side and once you peel the light off very carefully pull and wiggle the wires out of the hole in the tube but be very carful not to pull to hard. Once you pull out the connector from the tube they just pull apart. Plug in the new one and stick the new one on. You can order the length you need.

Make sure the strip is bad and not the wire... The strip on my rear awning stopped working this year, after some troubleshooting I found that my strip was fine, it was a wire somewhere.
It ended up being a broke wire that is sewn in the side of the awning, they had to replace the entire fabric under warranty..
If it is the strip, like Steve said, gently pull the wire out of the hole on the front side of the awning, disconnect and peel the old strip off..
I just have a bunch of the LED's burning out (go figure). Probably closes to 50% now. As stated previously, I am not a fan of LED. They are all still junk...No one can tell me that in 3 years that they have taken on 50,000 hours of use...So, without options available, I'm forced to replace with more LED junk.
I do appreciate your help figuring out out to get these out/off. They sure look like they are in a track. Are we sure they are only "stick on"? Is everyone's awning lights like this?
I hate to disassemble the main roller only to find out they are stick on...

Our lights were replaced 3 times under warranty, until the service centre checked it. They found the wire chaffing and shorting out. Once they fixed the wire we have had no issues in 2 years.
We have the same system as Steve. The replacement light strip comes in a roll and you peel & stick
