I have changed most lamps to LED and would like to have a dimmer on at least the kitchen fixture. Has anyone found a compatible dimming switch?

Not all LED lamps can be used with a dimmer. The LED'S work well everywhere but not with dimmer switches. The bulbs either dim insufficiently, flicker, or they don't light at all. It depends on the drive circuit design for the LED. Also, very important, what is required for 12 VDC lamps/dimmers will be very different from what is require for 120 VAC lamps/dimmers. So, make sure the LED lamps and dimmers are for 12 VDC applications. The following website has a lot of info for 12 VDC applications:

Two reputable manufacturers of CFL/LED dimmers are Leviton and Lutron; both provide lists of bulbs they've verified will work with their dimmers, although, these are likely for 120 VAC systems. I would recommend you go to their websites to research what LED lamps will work with dimmers.
