Is there anyone who has had the kitchen faucet come loose. What tool did you use to tighten it? And what size is the nut? I have purchased three different basin tools that are supposed to be industry standards. None of them will fit or work. Any insight or help is appreciated

the tool is a kitchen/bath faucet wrench. It looks like a extension that goes for a socket set (Lowes T414) except one end had a Slip "T" handle and the other end looks like someone tool one side of a pipe wrench made it sweep up and down.(some are spring loaded) purchase at the box stores but be sure to ask for someone that knows plumbing. Takes a moment to figure out how to use.

Thank you sir for you response. However what you have described is what I have already bought in two different sizes. One that would go around the nut has a handle that is to long to work with due to the under sink shelf. The other on that has the length of handle that will work will not open large enough to go around the nut. Go figure.... It is extremely hard to reach and you cannot see what you are doing. The other option is to take the top of the counter top up completely so it could be tilted enough to get a wrench to it. Redwood engineering really had to think hard to design this one. LOL

Cut off the too long handle.

I would not attempt to raise the countertop...good chance that it will crack. Try removing the shelf, or maybe cut out a portion of it to allow access.

Not sure if your sink has the same faucet as our 2013 36RL, I had the same issue with a loose faucet. I was able to get to the nut with a vice grip and I held it with the VG and then hand tightened the faucet at the top.

In my opinion the cause was the fact that moving the faucet back and forth to each sink loosened it. On the base of our faucet there is an Allen screw that I loosened off and then pulled up the faucet top. There is a white plastic washer that seemed to cause the tightness, I removed it as all it does is to provide friction between the faucet base and the faucet proper. The Allen screw can then be adjusted to provide the correct friction but not tight enough to move the base and cause your problem.

Sorry for the long post, but it cured the problem!
