We have a 2016 38GK. The LP regulator on the curbside of the RV needs to be replaced. It has a red 30lb sticker on top of the regulator. How can I be sure this is the proper regulator? I think this is a high pressure regulator.

It's the correct regulator. I helped replace our neighbour's regulator last year (a fellow Redwood owner), he ordered 2 on Amazon I believe and I bought one of them for a spare. They are readily available.

His regulator was leaking through the vent hole, you could smell the propane around the RV.

I believe the reason for the 30 PSI is to meet a legal requirement to reduce the pressure in that line going across the unit to the change over regulator on the road side.

Anything over 5' from the valve requires that regulator per NFPA 1192. If Redwood put the two tanks on the same side they wouldn't need that.

Just FYI, I found that my problem was not in my regulator but the actual valve in top of my gas bottles not letting enough gas through.I changed bottles, problem solved.
