Hi my name is Marcia and my husband Dennis just bought our first RV. After looking for over a year, we chose Redwood and went with the SQ38QRE model. One question, although I'm sure I'll have lots more as time passes. Can you hook into the propane tank to use a gas grill outside the coach? If you can do you have to purchase separate connections or is it already located somewhere on the coach? How do I find it? I hate to have to take it to the dealer to install a hookup if it is something simple to do We're looking forward to taking it to Florida next week to escape Indiana winters.
Thanks so much
Congratulations on you new Redwood, good idea to escape the cold ASAP
Marcia & Dennis,
Welcome to the Redwood Owner's Group and congratulations of purchasing a Sequoia. You will find many knowledgeable owners on the forum always willing to help.
Many RV's come with a tee to connect portable propane appliances, or owners have added them at a later date. I did consider it, but opted to go with an extra 30 lb tank for the BBQ & gas fire.
Our 2013 RW didn't come with an external connection, but don't know if one was added to the newer models or Sequoias. One thing I do recall when researching the subject is the location of the connection depends on whether you BBQ comes with a regulator, or not.
You should finds the parts required at Amazon or other online retailers, or some RV parts stores.
Congratulations on your new rig! I know you will enjoy it.
It's my own opinion, but we use a separate 5 gal tank for our grill. It's just easier, it stows in the up front basement, and is easy to bring out when we grill. We put the tank in a small milk crate for easier tot-ability. We did have to buy a regulator for the grill as the grill was set up for small bottles. (Weber grill)
I have a Weber Q grill that's connected to a T on the propane bottle & I made up a 20-25' hose so I can place the grill about anywhere I want & it's worked great. I mounted a hook in the propane bottle compartment & leave the hose connected with a seperate valve to isolate the hose.
If your grill has it's own regulator you need to connect directly to the bottle, if the grill has no regulator connect it after the regulator on your coach.
I didn't want to have to haul an extra bottle just to grill with.

Like the others, we carry an extra propane bottle so we can use the grill anywhere, but we also have a Tee that we bought years ago that we used to use multiple appliances off the tank.
You could use this Tee from Camping World on your RV and run a line to your BBQ.
I notice CW also has a Y that allows 2 standard fittings to go into the cylinder.
The Tee with an extension would work with BBQs that utilize throw away bottles but you may need the Y with an extension for a full size BBQ. The Tee would work with a Weber Q.
