Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good LP regulator. Our first one started leaking so ordered a new one of the same kind that came on our redwood and now having trouble with the "red" displaying on the empty tank. The regulator switches tanks, but does not indicate that the first one is empty.

I've always liked the Marshall Brass changeover regulator. Not sure they are even made in USA anymore, but better than that Redwood factory one.

Agree with Brad, much better regulator. Get the smaller secondary one from them at the same time and you also might want to change pigtails too and be done with it.

Just sayin .......

I replaced ours with Marshall Brass changeover regulator and the smaller curbside regulator last winter in AZ. Didn't seem to fix the issue, so ordered and replaced both pigtails, which I found had become rigid and brittle. That did the trick.

That is weird what happens to those lines - I don't know if they are inferior material or if the LP does something to them. I had an LP hose for my buddy heater that connected it to a standard LP tank that was coiled up in a drawer on the RV. I pulled it out and tried to uncoil it and it just started snapping and breaking inside the outer jacket.

Did a google search for marshall brass and only came up with Marshall Excelsior Co. I called them and talked with an engineer about recommending a regulator. I asked him if they were the ex marshall brass and he told me they were not. He said that marshall brass went out of business several years ago and they, marshall excelsior, were different companies. however in some of my google searches the regulators have marshall brass in the descriptions for the marshall excelsior regulators. Go figure. Anyway, the engineer was extremely helpful with recommending a regulator for our situation. Ordered it along with the correct mounting bracket and pigtails. We'll see how things go when we get them installed. Thanks to all for your input on the subject.

I was trying to search after posting my post as well, and found similar results. All pings for the Marshall Brass regulator referenced you to Camco. I guess Marshall Brass no longer makes them or is gone - gone. But that would make sense when your major client base in Elkhart seeks oversees Kopies to save a buck.

My curb side pigtail failed about three weeks after delivery of our Redwood. The RW dealer came out to the campground (160 miles round trip) and changed the pig tail propane line that day. I had narrowed down the cause by swapping the street side pig tail with the curb side so as to save him a trip back to the shop. The curb side pig tail line looked fine so I slipped a ty-wrap into the internal area to check for blockage. The inner wall had collapsed almost the full length of the line. The RW tech commented this was happening on all the RW's they had delivered. The RW dealer was replacing the lines with a pig tail supplied by a local propane supplier. I replaced the street side soon after along with the curb side red regulator (was leaking a small amount of gas) soon afterwards. That area has been trouble free since. On other RV sites I have read that the inner wall collapse of a propane flexible line is not unusual. By the way, your Meridian is a great looking Class A.
