I would like to hear from anyone who may have changed out the gas stove/cooktop to an induction cooktop and dishwasher under or something like that. We have a 2016 39MB. We are full time living and I have adapted very well using the convection/microwave as my main oven. Love convection cooking !!!! I would rather not take up any space in the island with the sink because I have a use for every inch of that area 🙂 but the stove is useless.
Not familiar with your floor plan, but most DO NOT have water or drain available under the oven & with it in a slide not possible to add. Mine was ordered with the dishwasher, under the sink, & oven deleted with drawers instead. Unless yours is made differently I think you'd even have to remodel the island cabinet to add the dishwasher there, its deeper than the cabinet. With skills &/or money anything is possible though.
Maybe some with the induction cooktop will chime in, but my understanding is that due to power restraints one 1 burner could run a 100% at a time, turn on 2 & power reduces on the other.
For 3+ years now we haven't uncovered the the gas cooktop as DW ordered the induction single hotplate type from tv & got the 2fer & have used them since.

I’m really glad that you are happy with induction and convection cooking as it would make life much easier. Our induction cooktop and convection microwave combo is literally our only frustration about our Redwood home, and if I could figure out a way, you could have our induction cooktop. Would love to swap for your gas. As Danny said, you only have a combination of 10 as your power setting, so it’s 10+0, 7+3, etc so it quickly becomes difficult to have more than one item cooking at a time if preparing for a meal. The convection microwave bakes unevenly so things in the back left corner are burned before the food is cooked.
The combination we finally landed on is a one-burner induction plate and a high quality toaster oven sitting on top of our cooktop, and now she is quite content. Just wish we could put the toaster oven on the cooktop circuit so we could make coffee and cheese toast at the same time.
Paul - on our 36RL I added an outlet on the left side above th cooktop. Pulled out the outlet for the microwave, went straight down the wall, picked up an outlet box from Lowes that is shallow and has the swing arms so you don't have to get behind it. That's where we keep our coffee pot plugged in and the toaster oven lives on the counter on the right side next to frig.
Our convection/microwave is still occasionally hit/miss, but DW has almost got it figured out, at least it's not 1/2 raw 1/2 burnt anymore.
Some of the problem is the oven itself, I truly believe a better brand would solve a lot of the problems.
DW sits the induction hotplates up on each end of the island & cooks away, best $$ spent on those cookers.

We solved this problem by getting rid of the POS Frigidaire and putting in a Whirlpool.
It has worked very well.
The Frigidaire did die one day so that forced the upgrade. But we had been wanting to replace it. RW did replace it once but the second was as bad the first.

I have learned if you use a 14' pizza pan on the round convect rack and let the turntable turn, your items will not burn. We also use a single plug in induction burner and we also had a Breville toaster oven and LOVED it but it would not fit with the Kuerig as you mentioned so I learned to use the convection/microwave. But would still like to incorporate that dishwasher 🙂
If you do any boondocking, you'll be on generator to cook if you eliminate the LP appliances.
Brad, my thoughts exactly. We almost never use the gas burners, but when we've been power crunched, were glad we had the propane burner capability. We normally use a single induction cooktop as our primary source, I think I like it better than the gas burner. But having the propane available was at times a good thing.
Since we're all electric (Cook Top & Convection) we carry a small Coleman Propane Grill that also has a side burner.
