Has anyone replaced their induction cooktop with a gas range. I have struggled for over 2 years with the convection micro that is substandard.. Need to be able to cook.. Or can just the oven be purchased without eliminating the induction cooktop?. We have a 2016 38rl.... Thanks for the help..

What is your problem with the Induction??
We have an early '16 39MB and found the most we could get out of ours was half power just using one burner. Found out there was a Software glitch in the early ones. They're designed to limit the total load when using both burner by dividing the power between them, but the glitch prevented ever getting full power when using just one. We got ours changed out at the Distributor's place and have been very happy with it since.

If you do indeed replace your cooktop with a gas unit do your homework. My 2018 GK came with the three burner Furrion gas cooktop and I'm not impressed. I seem to have the opposite problem of your induction cooktop. The low heat control is terrible. With the burner valve on the lowest setting the flame is still too high to do a prolonged simmer. I've researched the Furrion literature and it doesn't seem that the main regulator or individual burner valves are adjustable. It sure is pretty but it's not impressive when you wish to simmer a soup or a stew.

We got the 2fer deal from tv & they are fantastic, haven't taken the cover off our gas cooktop in over 3 years. DW can sit them up on each end of the island & go to cooking.

I think he was saying he struggles with the convection oven, not the cooktop, but to go to a gas oven he is figuring he will probably have to go to a gas cooktop as well unless someone has a gas oven with induction cooktop.

I can understand that - I miss the gas oven. The new Furion oven does not seem to be integrated with a cooktop, so I think you could install it separately if there is room under the induction cooktop. I have no idea what the vent requirements would be.

I've got the Furrion gas oven pictured above and it vents at the top rear right behind the cooktop. There is a louvered stainless steel vent that is about 2.5 inches wide and is the same width of the cooktop.

Attached are the PDF files for the Furrion Gas oven as well as a new combined gas and electric oven. I've also attached the PDF for the induction cooktop. I'd imagine either a Furrion gas or electric cooktop would work with any of their ovens.

Of course if you wish to replace the entire assembly (cooktop and oven) there are lots of options from Dometic and Atwood. They seem to be all gas though.

That gas and electric looks kind of cool, and I assume their induction fits in that space on the top?

I'm not 100% sure of the fitment but my guess is that they would indeed work together as it's all Furrion equipment. They can be reached at:

We have an Atwwood cook top and oven and couldn't be happier. We cook 13 pound turkeys in the oven, and my wife is baking in it all the time.
