We need to get a new Surge Protector. We are planning to get a hardwire protector--I (George) installed the last one.
Question: Is there a brand/model you recommend?

I answered this on the other forum, but here it is again:
Second that vote. I have a remote indicator that I mounted in the entry door cabinet by the slideout switches (next to entry coat closet). It gives you L1 and L2 voltage, current error messages and an error message if your power is interrupted by its actions. Plus if I'm not mistaken, it carries a lifetime warranty.

Progressive Industries: HW50C

I mounted a 2nd display outside at the power cord connection. Having said that, I never use the 2nd remote. You have to go inside and flip the primary display anyway...
Hi Gip,
Thank you for posting the link to the Progressive unit. I have a couple questions for you. Did you install the Progressive unit in your trailer ? Where is the surge protection located in the trailer ? Do you have any pictures of the installed unit ?
Thank you so much for your help,
Al

I had the dealer install a Surgeguard unit on the rear bulkhead of the battery compartment - just behind and above the batteries.
Hi Gip,
Thank you so much for that great write up on installing the surge protection. It is going to be a big help. I crawled into the storage bay and removed the cover of the electrical panel and read the inside of the cover to find out that all the circuits in this panel is 12 volts. Right now I have not found a panel for 120 volts circuits or where the shore power terminates at. My trailer is a 2019 model. Any ideas where I should start looking for the termination of the shore power ?
Thank you again for that great write up,
Al

There are only two I know of on the market - the Progressive Industries mentioned above, and the TRC Surge-Guard. Both do a good job but have slightly different specs.
I've had both and prefer the Surge-Guard. The company has more depth in surge suppression for RVs, and I find the Surge-Guard to have better quality. We had a few issues installing the Progressive Industries ESM-LCHW50 in our Redwood.
Here is the Surge Guard equivalent to the Progressive Industries as an alternative choice.
Hi Gip,
Thank you again for your help. Later today I will try to get pictures of the panel with the cover off. I will have the trailer unplugged to safety. This will give me a chance to post a picture or too.

I think the install may depend on whether you have a gen prep package or not, our unit didn't have the prep package so I would have to crawl into the basement to get to the electrical box.
I hope the pictures are ok. This is my first time posting pictures. The first 2 pictures would be better if rotated 90*. On the last pictures the words are a little tough to read. They are the labels for the circuits.
