I have a 2015 36rl with a generator. I'm trying to find the transfer switch so I can install a 50amp hard wire surge protector. I don't see it in the front bay. Can someone tell me where else it could be? Thanks

My 38RL has it in the front bay... Up high behind the generator box.

You need to squeeze up into the battery box bay and bend over the generator enclosure. The transfer switch should be easily identifiable. Should have two 6/4 NM cables entering into the box.

You may want to do like I did and put it closer to the panel. I pulled the wires out of the panel and into the Protector. Then back into the panel. What you are doing will certainly work and as long as you connect to the correct side and you'll be protected by shore power or generator power (if you have one). I just tried to find an easy route to run the display wiring. Its a short wire that comes with the package. If you put where you are proposing, you'll need to order the extra long wiring separate. They charge about $1 per foot.
