Last year, same week temps almost identical in Alexandria, La. Today's temps have reached a high of 95 with 60 percent humidity. Currently it feels like 102* outside. Last year our 2015 Redwood would not cool it down below 83-85 in the living room. and 85-89 in the bedroom. This year with all upgrades done that I am able to do. Extra insulation in the front cap, extra return air ducts thus increasing airflow and adjusting all air registers for max air flow. Today I was able to see the living room stay at 75-78 in the living room. And 80-83 in the bedroom. So yes it is improved. Mean while, I have a 1988 model 26 foot Kountry Star bumper tow. Which does not advertise anything like extra insulation. I bought it for $3 thousand dollars. It is for all purposes a piece of junk used as a fish camp and deer lease special. My buddy is using it today over in Texas. temps are hovering at 100*. He tells me that the Ac is cycling and keeping the temps at the thermostat setting of 71 degrees. GO FIGURE!!! $80,000.00 dollar or &3000.00. UNREAL. But I am thankful for small improvements even if I have to make them myself.

Have you pulled the cover and opened the system up? We had a cooling problem, had mobile service come out. The 2" foam between the coil and bottom of the unit had came loose, reinstalled and made a world of difference, while we were in Florida.

Yessir, that was the first thing I looked at. And yes it was horrible. I even had a air lead around the base of the AC. I don't know how I didn't have a water leak. One of the biggest sources of loss of cooling is the lack of insulation. Especially in the front and rear cap. I have made huge strides in fixing these problems.
