What I did on our RL when we had that issue, was to remove the 1x1 piece that the flex hose passed over (so it wouldn't catch) and ended up making a make shift clamp assembly using cable ties. Put several on both the flex hose and the black PVC, but didn't pull them tight, then ran several more cable ties through those on the hose and PVC, once I had those in place I tightened the ones on the hose and PVC, good and tight, then proceeded to tighten the ties that were passed through the ones on the hose and PVC.
Was still working when we traded last spring. We traveled all that summer never staying in one place for more than a few days, so lots of in and outs of the bedroom slide and my make shift clamp assembly held together.
If that hadn't worked, I thought about a piece of smaller diameter PVC that would fit inside the hose and use several hose clamps to see if that would hold, but never had to resort to that.

Upon inspection and dissembly of flex line compression couplings there were no rubber washers on either end to retain hose ends on fittings came apart with light pressure definently a error in manufacturing.

Glad you figured it out.

That would make a great post in the Technical Documents if you can get pictures and present a statement on the repair.

I feel for you and building a bridge in Dallas. That's no easy task...We were in Dallas last weekend at the RV show. We live about 45 minutes West...

Hey! Maybe we'll see you at the Canton, Texas Rally in 2 weeks?

We were on Berry Drive in Haslet just east of the Dollar General a 1/4 of a mile. We now live wherever we are parked, currently Arizona.

We were in the Willow Springs addition behind the golf course.
