Basement Storage Organization? | 5 Relevance | 8 years ago | Jim | General Exterior
I'm impressed with the size of the storage in the baggage area but it seems I just pile more junk in there. I'm looking for more creative ideas to better organize the chaos that I'm experiencing. Pics please. (I would have signed this post but I think my pen is lost in the cargo area . . . )
Water leak in basement | 5 Relevance | 9 years ago | Anonymous | Utilities: Plumbing, Electrical and Propane
I wouldn't hesitate to drop that ceiling. Curiosity would drive me 🙂 it might be simple, and you could avoid a trip to the dealer. Something definitely changed on the ice maker hose supplier. Ours has never leaked in 3 years, yet others with newer ones have continuous problems with pinhole leaks. I would never inclined to replace that entire tubing.

We have a 36FL and had a shower leak, which we assumed was the drain, but the excellent factory service centre found a pin hole in the fibreglass base. Called in a fibreglass contractor and we were on the road in 1/2 hr.
Fix for leak in basement and toolbox | 5 Relevance | 9 years ago | Jim | General Exterior
I don't know why RW doesn't seal around the lock housing. When I took delivery this summer the first thing I did was to caulk all the exterior door seems and door locks. I also found that they didn't seal around the lights and the electrical outlets. I think that in their mind they think that if there is a gasket behind it then caulking is not needed. But that is not the case. Anything that is mounted to the rig needs to be sealed with the same sealer that they use @ the factory. Redwood's heart is in the right place! I just think they need some help from people that are not working at the factory. People that live in the rigs that they build. Some times a second pair of eyes make a big difference.

Door seals on our 2014... I tightened the door locks to make it tighter for the short term fix. ALL of our baggage doors are leaking. I'll be purchasing larger seals come spring.
Fix for leak in basement and toolbox | 5 Relevance | 9 years ago | Jim | General Exterior
We had a leak that only showed up during heavy rains. Found it was the Electrical Outlet on the side between the entry door and the storage compartment. The outlet had a plastic cover that did no seal very well against the side of our coach, replaced the cover with a metal cover. Removed the plastic cover, cleaned the area of debris and installed the new metal cover and sealed it. The new metal fits tight and flush to the side of our coach, no more water puddles or leaks.

Does anyone have detailed schematics of the plumbing tanks (black) especially on this model. Floorplans do not show detailed routing of the plumbing tanks/pipes configuration. I have a plugged toilet in the upper, main bathroom. This bathroom is raised above the Basement area and I am thinking that it has a sub, small tank with pipe leading to the main black tank lower and opposite the toilet black tank on the main floor level. My line of thinking is because I but a steel coat hanger down the toilet and it went into a secondary hole which I feel is the pipe ...
Slide Room Controller Energizing the Pump uncommanded | 3 Relevance | 2 years ago | SteveB | Main Forum
... pump breaker causing a cycle of run/trip breaker/reset/trip. I immediately unplugged the signal wires from the solenoid and hydraulic slide valve and power cable from the pump to stop the pump from cycling and the hydraulic valve from heating up. I have proven (with help from Lippert Tech Support) the level up system controller is not at fault by unplugging and removing it and rechecking for the errant voltage. The voltage remains at 13V and many amps! Yikes! My question is where the controller for the slides might be found n my 2017 3401RL? It has to be ...

@ford-truck-guy That's not good......I would want to find out where switch is or if powered up all the time, which I am sure it isn't or shouldn't be but non the less I will track it down and "label" my switches in the Basement.
RE: Shower drain | 3 Relevance | 2 years ago | Rtimesoon | Main Forum
Shower drains drop in from the top of the tub or shower base. Typically a thin rubber gasket is between the drain and the shower pan. Old one needs to be removed first. Depending on your model you need to gain access by removing the felt covered wall in the Basement. Usually a Hepvo drain or a P-trap that needs to be removed first. Loosen the slip nuts and lower the tail piece from the drain. Probably need a second person to hold the drain piece from turning by sticking a needle nose pliers down in the drain fitting to keep it from spinning while the nut u ...

Sounds like you're talking about the Lippert Schwintek In-Wall Slide-Out. Have you checked the controller in the Basement to see if the Red LED is flashing a code?? We had that system on our '12 36RL and when we had an issue the flashing of the LED gave a code on the chart and I was able to put it in manual mode to get the slide in as we were on our way to a Service Center.
winterizing with the 4 knobs.... green, red, white, and blue.. | 3 Relevance | 4 years ago | ford truck guy | Main Forum
I have been winterizing for 35+ years.... never with these knobs... There is NO suction hose in the wet bay like on my 2016... What is the best way to winterize? There is no gravity fill port as well, so filling the fresh water tank is not an option...I think ???? Do I remove the Basement wall to access the pump? I am sure I am missing something very simple, what am I missing ?
Cable Chase | 3 Relevance | 4 years ago | Paul Bridges | Main Forum
Just curious if anyone knows of a cable chase either down the sidewall or between cabinets to run a cable from the bedroom clothes cabinet (where all the cable/satellite connections are) down to the Basement or underbelly. Wanting to run my SureCall cable underneath instead of through the roof.
