Cable tv reception problem | 3 Relevance | 7 years ago | Jim | Communications, Entertainment and Technology
Typically with a RL floor plan the bedroom TV is connected directly to the Booster, while the Living Room comes off the Set 2 connector, that's where problems come in. That means the signal was just split in the booster with a 3db loss (which cuts the signal level in half, now down stream somewhere is another spliter for Living Room/Basement or Outside TVs, this again is another 3db loss which again cuts the remaining signal in half. So if I'm reading things right, with a cable directly from the park to the TV you get a signal, but not the greatest. So if that's the case, once you have split the signal twice you are probably below the level for good reception. Best of luck.

Do you have a Basement TV as well? At this point I would drop the light over the left side of the bed and feel for a splitter. From what you have said, its in that cable.

... the cable you ran direct inside to the port that says Antenna. Make sure the booster is off. It all is clear, then it’s the cable attached to “Cable” which runs to the wet bay. If you want to confirm I would then use a barrel connector to join the line you ran direct and the line that was plugged in to Set 2. That would eliminate the cables going to the living room tv and/or Basement being bad. This will confirm it is either the cable between the wet bay and the booster or the booster.

... on the splitter between the 'SET' output of the booster and the two TV's. But I think a problem there could be eliminated since there is clear picture from antenna input. Both cable and antenna signals to the TV's use the same path. 4. Running a cable from the park connection to the cable input of the booster - bad picture I believe that eliminates any cable or connector problems and leaves only the booster, which baffles me. How can there be a clear signal from antenna, amplifier on, and a poor signal from cable, amplifier off. Could there be some sort of ...

Hi Vaughn, Here I am again. Having the exact same problem that you are. I have done all of the typical trouble shooting: checking connections, etc. Ran a cable direct from the park connection to the back of the TV, picture perfect. I read below from John Anderson that following all that the problem would hav to be the cable from the Basement connection to the booster. I am wondering if you have solved the problem? Thanks, Bob
12 volt distribution panel beeping | 3 Relevance | 7 years ago | Jim | Utilities: Plumbing, Electrical and Propane
We have a 2017 39MB with generator prep, in the front compartment (with batteries/hydraulic pump/etc.) we had a transfer switch. Could that possibly be where you're getting your noise from? If that's not the culprit and you have the residential fridge it could possibly be your inverter. Our inverter is installed on the front bulkhead of what we call the Basement, inside the side door with all the water connections. Just some thoughts.

Anyone know why I would have a red light and beeping at my distribution panel in the Basement?
Bent Axels | 3 Relevance | 7 years ago | Anonymous | Chassis, Frame, Autolevel and Running Gear
The frame of the RV is nothing more than a 10" x 3" I-Beam. No relevance to your point necessarily, but Redwood has always used 12" I-beams over the axles. Only the drop beam section under the forward Basement is 10".
water system leaks! | 3 Relevance | 7 years ago | Jim | Utilities: Plumbing, Electrical and Propane
So we pulled into a campground in MS. yesterday and hooked up to their services and noticed that they had excellant water pressure. This morning I noticed water dripping under the rv. So this morning I emptied the Basement again and took down the rear wall and looked into a rats nest of water hoses and found 3 separate leaks. 2 of which are T fittings and a cracked fitting on the hot water tank bypass valve. I went to search for one in the area but to no avail. So I am looking for a part number so I can order one. Has anyone re configured the water lines beh ...

... to pull out the furnace and it wasn't easy, the most difficult part was to disconnect the heating ducts (on a manifold) from the rear of the furnace, he had to open the Basement and go in and do some "gymnastics" to get to the screws that hold the manifold on! All the water lines in the way made it more complicated. As an edit, one thing that we found is that the furnace main board must remain connected to allow the heat pump to operate, the thermostat is somehow routed electrically through the main board, even though the furnace wasn't working removing th ...
What did I do to my RW today | 3 Relevance | 7 years ago | Anonymous | Winterizing and Storage
... winterizing I said a few bad words under my breath to Redwood, I had to get into the Basement and stick my head through the door that accesses the water filter to see and turn that valve that shuts off the fresh water from the tank to the pump. Then, when I attempted to connect a short water hose to the winterizing line (to stick into the anti freeze can) I found it had a half inch fitting, not a hose fitting! I plan to install a proper (two way) valve in the convenience center and plum the winterizing line correctly when the weather warms. I wonder if so ...

... on the line. The entire process is performed inside, in climate controlled environment. There is no option to select different light types or re route cables or omit splitters. In fact even adding an extra sat run is no longer an option. Units are produced on a line with engineering approved build sheets. You may be able to get a carpet delete but even that’s questionable. So of the factory options you have, I would suggest the second awning, disc brakes, and definitly slide toppers. Generator is a matter of preference. I have one and could live wi ...

... system. Some prefer Mor-Ryde. If you select Mor-Ryde, get the 3000 series for a 8,000 lb axle. read the specs on Mor-Ryde and you will see why. If money is no object, get the Mor-Ryde IS system. You'll pay about $6k for that. ... sounds like a lot of work. If you have slide toppers you will need some way to keep them from flapping, it tears them up & drives you nuts listening to them. I can tell you these handle the winds really well up to sustained 40mph & 50-70mph gust if hitting straight from the front or rear, had that the entire month of May while in Bushland. #3 In the panhandle you WILL definitely need the softener or a drum of Lime Away, but you already know that. I plumbed another filter canister before the softener with a sediment cartridge then the onboard filter with a ch ... |
