WATER PUMP | 3 Relevance | 7 years ago | Jim | Utilities: Plumbing, Electrical and Propane
Agree the furnace needs to be run below freezing. If you remove 6 or 8 screws from the curved panel in the Basement you will find what is in the attached picture should you want to do some poking around to investigate. The two valves are used to isolate the pump from the fresh water tank and allow antifreeze input when winterizing.

When it was below freezing, were you running the furnace ? If not you may have som frozen pipes. The propane furnace is what supplies heat to the Basement. The fact that the pump just runs kind of sounds like it's not getting primed.
Towing in sub freezing temp | 3 Relevance | 7 years ago | Anonymous | Towing
... heading south from Canada in November. I start with empty tanks. If it's going to be below freezing overnight on our first stop I put some freash water in the tank and not hook up a water hose, we run the furnace to keep us and the plumbing warm. Next morning I empty the tanks and on the road I monitor the outside temperature closely and if it's around or above freezing we have been OK. I haven't tried running the furnace on the road, but if the temps are consistently below freezing you could pull into a rest area and run the furnace while getting a coffee ...

Ken, I'm currently stopped in Roanoke Rapids NC for a week until we leave on the 4th for Savannah. With the daytime temps in the 30's, as long as the rig was totally warm the night before (furnace on and Basement warm) I don't think I'd bother emptying tanks. I towed down here on th 27th from Baltimore and it was 17 when I loaded up. Did not run furnace and temps got to about 31 later in day. No issues when we got here. I'm not planning on doing anything special next week when we leave here. Just my opinion,

Our 2013RL furnace was not bringing up the temperature in the first week after delivery in Jan. of 2013. I removed the wall in the Basement and found all but one floor grill duct laying loose. Getting those ducts back up with hi-temp HVAV tape did the trick. I also reinstalled the ducts at the furnace. If I would have taken more time during the PDI on that very cold January day I could have spotted that issue. The duct tape that the factory used could not withstand the heat from the furnace. Our RW now gets toastie warm very quickly. A short time later the f ...

... the round diffusers with some adjustable ones from here RV vents I have two furnaces now and the rear bathroom still gets all the heat 🙂 Fortunately it came from the factory with dampers. GiPCTravler - after 36 years in the fire service and fire engineering I guess I'm just inherently reckless with my family. 🙂 PS, I find very little risk of fire in popping a flexible duct, especially when the Redwood factory left most of them disconnected, torn, or smashed. The only real impact is the Basement area was nice and toasty and the living space not so m ...

... there with experience would be helpful. We have a 2015 RL-38 being towed with a 2016 GMC 3500 crew cab single rear wheel 4wd . With 100 gallons of water in the fresh tank and basic camping gear , no food and clothes. I went across a Cat scale and found my rear axel is 7050 max weight on the tag and scaled at 7400 lbs. Front axle on the truck scaled at 4990 ,the GM rating on my single wheel truck 5500 lbs. Most 2500hd have 4800 lbs rated front end so its very possible you be over weight front and rear with a 2500hd. In my case I am 100% sure I need a ...
What wires go for what? Trying to set up Satellite | 3 Relevance | 7 years ago | Anonymous | Communications, Entertainment and Technology
... ran coax lines (with end connectors) into the cupboard above the TV, it's the place that takes the sat TV box, that's how I see the coax colour. The coax connections in teh bedroom and elsewhere are done with plates. If your wiring is like mine, one coax is coming from the roof for the sat dish, another goes to the bedroom and the third goes to the front Basement so you can install a TV down there and feed it from the sat dish box.

... and the bedroom). Our unit has an orange line coming from the wet bay to the entertainment center, an orange coax going from the entertainment center to the Basement in front and a black coax line coming from the roof to the entertainment area (and another one which you won't have). If Redwood installed with any logic (questionable!), the rearmost coax connection in the wet bay should go to the entertainment center, you may be able to unscrew the duplex connection and check the coax colour if you don't get a checker, it will minimize the possibilities. Partial electric issue | 3 Relevance | 7 years ago | Anonymous | Utilities: Plumbing, Electrical and Propane
This one is a long shot, but I'll share an experience with our GFCI not being able to test or reset in the bathroom of our 36RL. The problem was water intrusion into a plug in the Basement downstream of the GFCI, caused by a small leak in the plumbing in the bathroom running down and into the plug below. It may be something you may want to check.

Holding Tank Mystery??? | 3 Relevance | 7 years ago | Jim | Utilities: Plumbing, Electrical and Propane
we had that problem, the washer (which we don't own) went to one holding tank with the bathroom sink, everything else to the other tank which was always filling quickly. Dave rerouted the shower to the bathroom sink tank, so the kitchen is in one tank and the bathroom goes to the other. He said it was easy to do in the Basement.

... Uggh!!!! I crawled into my Basement access to try and see if the plumbing would give me a hint but since all the tanks seem to be in the underbelly that will have to be pulled to see what they did. I'm really starting to question my Redwood purchase decision. I realize that all new RV's have their issues but a major plumbing mistake like this raises alarm bells with me. Here are a couple of pics of my InCommand display and my utility cabinet illustrating the two gray tank pulls/valves. I feel your pain... Too many things to list...But if you think an ...
