Danny, I was referring to the thickness of the Basement floor - that I would think would be the same regardless of being RL or FL. ...rex

They are no where near the same storage area, the FL has about 1/2 the Basement as your RL.

Frank, I have a '15 36rl. I assume the Basement floor would be the same. A few weeks ago, I installed a MorRyde 26"X 90" tray. I used stacked 1 X 3's. If doing again, I'd use stacked 1 X 2's. I used 1 1/2" wood screws to fasten the first set of 1 X's and the same screw type for the ones stacked on top. For the MorRyde rails, I used 8 2" pan head screws - # 12 I think. By the way, I have another brand new 26 X 90 tray that I ended up with by way of massive Amazon and UPS screw ups. If anyone is passing through Nor Cal SF or Sac area, I'll make you a f ...

IIRC there is 5/8-3/4" plywood on top of 2" framing on top of the frame so there is at least 2" between the floor & tanks, this from memory from the factory tour. Should be able to look behind the Basement wall as mine has a 4" hole cut for a 1/2" line to the water pump.

Water leak during showering | 3 Relevance | 8 years ago | Jim | Utilities: Plumbing, Electrical and Propane
OK...Just more quality control issues like normal... With that in mind, Pull everything out from under your Basement area. Remove the back wall. Skinny up and get between the joists. Crawl to the back while scraping your sides and back. There, you will find the bottom of your shower. There is a locknut that holds the rind down tight. Loosen it up. Crawl back out from under the belly of the beast and go back into the shower. Pull up on the drain. Scrape out the cheap plumbers putty used by the factory and install a good plumbers putty. Shimmy back ...
Water leak during showering | 3 Relevance | 8 years ago | Anonymous | Utilities: Plumbing, Electrical and Propane
I had same issue on a 201731SL. Just run the water...ok. Someone in shower, water dripping out bottom of coach and floor wet in bath. The bottom glides at the bottom of the doors were not caulked on the ends in the corners. Caulked the corners and problem resolved. With person in the shower, water splashed on the doors and ran into bottom door tracks.Leaked onto floor and Basement at end of track at the corners.

Water line detail 38GK | 3 Relevance | 8 years ago | Danny_and_Linda | Utilities: Plumbing, Electrical and Propane
Pull down the Basement wall & you'll find 95% of the water lines waded up in a big pile, exception is the kitchen sink lines take off under the floor or the ice maker line (which is where I'd start) runs through the floor outside & back into the bottom of the slide. Good luck, water leaks are a PITA to locate.
Wiring for solar panels | 3 Relevance | 8 years ago | Jim | Owner Modifications
Tom, We have a 36FL, which is similar to Ken's 38FL. Our dealer installed our single 160W panel and routed the wires through the roof into the hollow bulkhead in the bathroom, then down to the belly. Not sure about wire sizes, as the coach is in storage. Our inverter is secured to the front bulkhead in the Basement.
Battery compartment wiring | 3 Relevance | 8 years ago | Jim | Utilities: Plumbing, Electrical and Propane
... rewired again, (again no luck). At the rally last year, RW techs rewired again. It seemed to be better, but now I still have a problem. Today I pulled off the battery covers and disconnected the wires and noticed a 6 gauge wire going to the cut-off switch from the positive side and a pair of 1/0 wires, red and black. The black going directly from the battery to a hole in the bulkhead to the Basement. The red going to a 2 pole connector block and then through the bulkhead hole. Presumably, these are going to the inverter. These wires have a load when ev ...
Cable Operated Waste Valves | 3 Relevance | 8 years ago | Jim | Utilities: Plumbing, Electrical and Propane
Maybe. The valve is beneath a step behind the rear bulkhead wall in the Basement. (The converter is mounted on the step.) Difficult to access the area because of a maze of water piping, drain line and wires. If I could get access it would be somewhat of a guesstimate as to where to make the cutout but it's an idea worth investigating. I have a Fein plunge saw that could make the cuts without endangering what is beneath. Unfortunately no way to get my head up into the area of the valve from below to see what may be interfering. I can feel part of the valve wi ...

I wasn't quite as productive 🙁 Added a hose to the right side propane tank for the Coleman grille. No more trips out for little throwaways !! We're in the last 4 weeks of loading and prepping to go fulltime. Finished up loading and arranging the Basement. Pictures attached.
Drinking water tank filling itself when connected | 3 Relevance | 8 years ago | Danny_and_Linda | Urgent Assistance Required
There's a check valve at the pump that's either worn out or has sediment holding it open. The pump is behind the Basement wall just below the onboard filter door.

Thanks very much for the quick replies. Yes, the instructions say to connect the antenna directly to the receiver and then to the TV. But then I have the issue of getting the coax into the RV. Since the receptacles in the Basement (large storage compartment) say "Satellite", I thought it would be easy to connect the antenna there hoping that would go directly to the TV - or in this case to the receiver, then to the TV. |
