| Balancing hot air ducts | 4 Relevance | 10 years ago | Danny_and_Linda | Utilities: Heating and Ventilation | |
| ... touch. Did disconnect one tube and run it to a new vent under the stairs, but the Basement still runs hotter. RW stated that is the way it is to work. When opening the underbelly door it's like opening an oven. Sounds like mine, the bedroom furnace duct had came loose & fell over & was keeping the underbelly nice & toasty as well as the bathroom/shower floor. Heated air & duct tape don't hold well hanging up to the floor hoist. I cut 3 pieces of aluminum strap & sealed it & Used self taping screws to reattach it. | |||||

| I'm glad someone has good luck with the heating system. We did the same thing for all our vents, however did not solve our problem. Thw under belly area is always 15 to 20 degrees hotter than the living area. The interior walls in the bathroom and front entrance area are hot to the touch. | Pin Weight | 4 Relevance | 10 years ago | Jim | Chassis, Frame, Autolevel and Running Gear | |
| Our Basement is about the same size as I've got the same junk in there, but for whatever reason RW did away with the shelves on the front bulkhead so I made my own since I kept the net from our RL. I don't think the slide-in-a-slide is an option on the MB, but the MB bedroom slide extends out further than other models, approx 30" compared to our RL at 24". | |||||

| Sorry to hear this. I think kaidecel stayed in Colorado last winter in his. Talk to the local campgrounds as they should be able to give you a good idea of what you would need to do to have the trailer winter ready. Shoveling snow will be one of them. Skirting heat tape for lines, additional heat in Basement, large propane tank etc | |||||
| Fishing Poles | 4 Relevance | 10 years ago | Jim | Owner Modifications | |
| Nice job GipC! We have something similar, but not nearly as many poles as you have! We like that they are up and out of the way - and using up some of that 'dead space' in the Basement. | |||||

| Quieting Fresh Water Pump | 4 Relevance | 10 years ago | Jim | Owner Modifications | |
| I found that the noise was coming from the pump discharge hose which was leaning against the inside of the Basement wall and transmitting the vibration into the wall. I isolated the hose with a piece of foam swimming pool doodle which I sliced open to insert around the hose. This eliminated a lot of the noise. I also loosened the pump hold down screws which were too tight and compressing the rubber foot pads. B) | |||||

| Has anyone added outdoor audio to their Basement? First unit I've ever had w/o outdoor radio and I'd like to add it. What have people done for speakers? Locations? How did you tie in to the roof for an antennae for FM or SirusXM? | |||||
| Water Filter Relocation | 4 Relevance | 10 years ago | Anonymous | Utilities: Plumbing, Electrical and Propane | |
| Nice job! I have thought about doing this project, but have some concerns about the filter/water lines freezing in cold weather. Their present location in the Basement does offer a layer of protection from the cold. Has anyone experienced water freezing issues after relocating the filter assembly? Bob I wondered about that on mine, and would probably wrap a heat trace around the filter if we stayed in a real freeze. So far we are relatively fair weather campers - with an occasional snowfall surprise in the morning. | |||||

| ... locations you can't imagine. I found one splitter behind the living room entertainment center wall. You have to pull the TV down and remove brackets or covers to find that one. I also found one in the hallway hidden behind a light fixture in the ceiling. So if one goes bad, good luck finding it. I don't know why a central control box can't be installed in the Basement with individual wires run to each location. That would be very straight-forward and easily color coded. This is about the only actual reference I have seen to date (2014 38GK). Someone else ... | |||||

| I had a strut fail on my Basement door , I took a picture of the numbers on the strut, I then googled the name on the strut and found the manufacturer. I called them , got an email and sent a picture. I took all that info and sent it to my dealer in NJ, they did some checking , and I received one via ups at my door, I boxed the failed one and forwarded it to my dealer. | |||||
| MY 39MB Water Froze internal fresh water tank | 4 Relevance | 10 years ago | Jim | Utilities: Plumbing, Electrical and Propane | |
| Might have something to do with the MB and where the water tank is. I our RL's the water tank is upfront and picks up heat from th furnace and Basement area easily. In the MB the tank is midship and I'm not sure how it's supplied with heat. | |||||
