RW members I'm looking at a 2013 36re and it has a soft spot by the front ac unit

My question is how do these ac units drain?
My current unit drains on to the roof then off

Anyone else have a roof issue?
Thanks in advance

I have a 2013 36RE and there are no soft spots on the roof. You are correct the AC drains on the roof unless the gasket that seals the unit to the roof has failed. I would have a Dealer/Mobile Service tech look at it before purchase.

This one doesn't have any soft spots.
The acs drain off the roof.
Sorry! Can't blame a guy for trying!

Our coach is same age as Danny's. Both A/C's drain onto the roof, but we have no soft spots.

Thanks

We experienced the usual minor issues primarily caused by our stellar roads. Only real issue we had was tangled water pipes behind the kitchen slide. Redwood fixed everything to our complete satisfaction while under warranty.

I note we are well out of the 2 yr warranty and even the 5 yr has expired.

The only warranty items were taken care of at the factory when attended our 1st rally in '13, all other items I took care of myself, nothing major.

We purchased ours used in 2015 and in prepping it for delivery, the dealer found the bedroom slide floor was soft. They replaced it under warranty and the refrigerator was replaced under extended warranty last summer. I had the MorRyde IS and disc brakes installed at the last rally. Money well spent. Beyond that we have had many wonderful days and night on the terrible roads of this great country.

We had roof issues with ours. In the end, we had to replace the roof. However, our issues were roof wrinkles. The vinyl roofing material had lifted from the wood roof. We worked with RV-Armor roofing for about a year. Our experience would say, a soft roof probably means some water damage on the roof wood. But, a good RV roofer can easily repair/replace the wood roofing. Depending on the price, I wouldn't let the roof stop me from purchasing a Redwood.

Make sure to feel around the A/C inside to make sure the water damage doesn't go through to the ceiling.
