Hello All,
We recently found one of our slow roll window shade on the floor when we returned from our winter trip. One of the brackets that holds the shade in place had broke. The part that failed was the plastic component part of the bracket. What we are wondering is has anyone replaced one of these brackets and if so did you replace it with an original one or is there an all metal bracket out there somewhere?

Contact Irvine shade they will send you replacement brackets. And yes they have improved them so they are all metal. Many of us had the same issues

Then when you replace the bracket take 2 plastic zip ties & crisscross them around all of the brackets, you'll never lose that shade again. I did this to all mine & no more problems.

Yup... Just as Shane said.
We have most all gone through this and whatever bracket you end up using I suggest also securing over the bracket with wire ties. I did this on all except one before they broke and all is fine. Last trip out I figured out the one I forgot and the plastic brackets just like yours were broke.

We just lost our rear window shade where the clips broke and the shade ended up behind the couch. Wonder why Redwood only put 2 clips on the back shade as heavy as it is and the length of the shade. It should at least have 1 or 2 more for the weight. I called Irvine shade and they shipped several replacements although they indicated they were not metal. I specifically ask if metal clips were available. The best part about the replacements were no cost. Wow what a deal that has to be a first. Also great idea about the zip ties will definitely include on the reinstall.
