It looks like I need to replace the cables on my bedroom system, has anyone here done this task yet? It looks like the only way to access is to completely dismantle the bed framing??
At that, it may be difficult to access the system still?
Following as I have similar issues with mine too…
completely dismantled the bed and frame, removed it, dismantled and removed the tilt bed hardware, ad gained access to the system under the bed... It was NOT that hard , just time consuming...
The bearing in the gearbox was bad and that was causing binding and jumping.. The motor and gearbox ( $215.00 ) was replaced and all is well. I DID NOT do the repair, I had a certified RV tech do the repair, I just removed and dismantled everything to gain access.
MY motor was/is mounted too high and causing the excessive angle of the chain to bend the gear drive.
