We had Lippert inspect our Trail Air pin at the rally and they confirmed there was way too much movement in the flat plate. I opted to replace with the MorRyde pin.

We’ve now towed about 2000 miles and my assessment is that we are riding much more comfortably. Far less bounce and movement over the bridge joints. But it would appear to me the coach is not riding more comfortably. I have found many more screws that’s have backed out, and I feel like my slide motor issue was either caused or exaggerated by a less cushioned ride from the TrailAir.

Has anyone else noticed anything similar?

I have a trailair roto on mine , there is far less parts that move on it but I was delivered my brand new Morryde pinbox last night. Amazon , price was about the same as some vender but I felt like Amazon had better custumer service so that where the money went. 4 working days and it in my hands . It will be interesting to see and feel if the Morryde is better. I had a very minor chucking

I liked the Air Ride of the Tri-Glide but not the banging. So at the '16 Rally we switched to a MORryde Pin, but to replace the Air Ride we also changed the Hitch to a Comfort Ride. So now we have the best of both worlds, a Pin Box to dampen the Fore/Aft chucking and the Hitch to dampen the up/down road shock.
I went with the Comfort Ride as it doesn't use air bags as the Air Ride Hitches, so nothing to lose air.
Piper Guy did the same change and we've both put many miles on since the change and neither of us have any complaints with the switch.

We switched out our Trail - Air with the Mor-Ryde pin box. At the time we still had a 25K Reese Elite hitch and they worked well together. (Bear in mind, we only have a 36 FB)

We did upgrade to the Comfort Ride hitch and noticed the ride was smooth for the truck, but the trailer had a rougher ride until we fine tuned the air bags on the truck and the puck system in the hitch. Now, it's pretty smooth.

BBy changing the hitch to airbags or polymers mmay give you a better ride in the cab but yyou still need to change the suspension on tthe trailer to smoothen the ride in it

Mine is probably the most over the top setup. We have a MorRyde pinbox, Comfort Ride Hitch , Airbags in the truck with onboard compressor and rthe mote and MorRyde IS suspension on trailer. H rated Sailun tires at 115 psi. Smooth ride in truck and smooth ride in trailer. I will change psi in bags and also the number of cushions in the hitch depending on road conditions. Removing or adding a hitch cushion takes literally 2 minutes at a rest area or pull off.
We have to hit something really bad before we get any Chucking in truck.
