At my last stop, the drain that siphons was flowing pretty hard - good thing I left it open. Water from the city water is getting into the tank somehow. Any ideas of what is wrong?

There's a check valve at the pump that's either worn out or has sediment holding it open. The pump is behind the basement wall just below the onboard filter door.

That's what I figured. I didn't notice a check valve when I replaced the pump 2 years ago, I used heavy-duty Velcro to reattach, and it only take few seconds to take it off.

I've had this happen also. I just finished putting in the 4th water pump in 3 years yesterday. The first 2 had the intermittent back flow issue. All 3 eventually just stopped pumping. What is it with these pumps?

It's filling that hot tub out in the boonies ......?...

I've gone through two pumps, if I have to replace again I'm going to get one of the high flow Marine units. Will get back to you on the make and model but the last 53 Regal I delivered had better pressure on the onboard pump than I got hooked to dockside and you couldn't even hear it run.

If I could use the hot tub boon docking I would. The hot tub takes 250 gallons to fill and my fresh tank is only 100 so the math doesn't work on the water side. I suppose I could use a 35 gallon water bladder, but that's a lot of trips back and forth to the potable water source.

Also with the tub heater and filter drawing every bit of the 15amp power source it requires although the 3000 watt inverter would be fine with it there is no way my 925 watt solar array will keep up, even on the sunniest of days, never mind heating it from ambient temp to start even if I would let it deplete my 1200Ah battery stack.

Someday perhaps though, I can wish.....
