I have a rebound clamp that has come loose and allowed the springs to become mis-aligned with each other. I have the axle jacked up and the weight off the springs. What is the best way to get the springs back aligned together?

You would think that the weight of the trailer off the axles that a couple of good strong C clamps would do the truck. Should be able to tap the rebound clamp back in place once lined up. Clamping the leafs together should allow that to happen. Worth a try.

I used 2 or 3 heavy duty C-clamps on one of my springs to hold and reform the the rebound clamp on the spring bundle after it was nearly straightened out due to rough interstate around Birmingham 4 years ago. It has held its shape okay since then.
