Hello Redwood Community - I have a 31SL and I am shopping for a back up camera. I dont want to use my cell phone and would like a larger screen in the cab of the truck with sound. This purchase may extend my marriage another 40 years! The choices are just overwhelming and the installation frightening. I called my Dealer and they suggested removing the center rear light and using that wiring for the camera. Looking for recommendations for the camera and any helpful hints for installation. If I have not said it before, I will say it now, the feedback from this Redwood community is just wonderful. You have helped me so much. Thank you thank you.

Their phone number is at the bottom of the page. Give them a call, explain what you have, and what you want. They can guide you in the right direction, and fix you up with a quality product.

I have no affiliation with them.

If attending the rally, you may want to check with Rally Manager Lisa to see which vendors are attending, as you may find rally specials on camera systems.

A couple of years ago we bought a wireless camera system from a vendor at Quartzsite. Unfortunately they are no longer in business. The kit consisted of a wireless camera, and a router that works on 12v. I installed the router in the bedroom cupboard and I ran a 12v line and installed the camera on the "ledge" below the rear window of the Redwood.

I used the Android tablet that I have (large screen) to receive the picture (better than a smart phone), but no audio.

Someone with some tech skills could put a system together, it's just like hooking a modem to a local network after running the 12V wire at the back to the camera.

There are commercial systems that work in a similar manner

Are you happy with the TadiBrothers equipment? Which model did you go with? Has anyone installed the camera in the center rear running light?

That's why I said call them. They can help sort out and weed out the stuff that wouldn't be a good fit for the OP.
