Looks like I may need to replace my rocker switch on my retractable reel.  It doesn't always response when retracting my cord.  I checked into a replacement switch with Trekwood RV Parts and the price is $89.78!  Has anyone found a cheaper resource?  Why the expensive price?

Wow that seems high. Did you try searching Google or Amazon?

When I encountered a similar problem I contacted the manufacturer of my electrical cord reel who gave me their part number for my 2017  36RL which was "SOUTHWIRE-MH3031".  Due to my first order being lost a second switch was shipped and ultimately I ended up with two switches.  You can contact Southwire at 800.621.1271 and they can hopefully verify which switch you need.  If your unit uses the same switch you can private message me and I am sure we can get the extra switch I have to you.  Wherever you get the switch be sure you get one that is waterproof. I'll have to check the packing slip but I seem to remember paying around $30, plus freight, for the switch.

I looked at MH3031 and it's not the same as my switch, but MH2021 is.  It is a marine switch.  It has a white face plate rather than a black one.  I'll call the company to see if they have the black one.  It is a lot cheaper so hopefully the company can help me.  Thanks for sharing the information you found.

Well, it's 3 months later and we finally found the correct switch!  We contacted 4 different dealers that ordered switches from Keystone, and they continued to send us the replacement switch that they thought we needed (MH3031).  What we found out was our 2017 model has the electric reel motor that releases and retracts.  They must have changed the electric reel after ours because the newer reels only require a retract switch.  I finally found the switch I needed on Amazon and it's a Lippert product.  Here's the link for anyone that has run into the same issue as ours.

Good to know. Crazy that such a common switch is so hard to find. But with Covid, anything is possible!
