We are seeing interior molding pooching out and wall panels moving in the front cap area of our 2014 Redwood 38FL Front Living unit when our Redwood is hitched up to our truck.

Below are pictures and description of what was found when the repair shop opened up our Redwood.

The repair shop will be adding additional reinforcement for the sidewall support plate structure and rerouting the power cable so we do not have an electrical short or fire in the future due to rubbing through the wiring insulation.

The repair shop has completed all the Pin Box Structural Frame repairs and we are back on the road again. Wow what a difference towing, much more solid again when going over bumps and bridges.

I must give a shout out to RV Anything in Pearland TX, the owner and his team did a awesome job and what I thought was a very reasonable price for the amount of work and time spent on our Redwood.

Rob, thank you for the pictures of the "skeleton" of the front frame area. Very helpful! Did they have to remove the front cap to make the repairs or were they able to access the area through the covering of the pin box area?

Paul,

They did not have to remove the front cap to access the Pin Box Framing.

Since we have a front living with only our Theater Seating unit up in the front cap area, they had to move our Theater Seat, remove the Carpet and Flooring above the front frame area to do the repairs.

With other floorplans, the front raised pin box area  area is usually the bedroom closet making it much harder to access the pin box frame area than our Front Living Room layout. (remember our TV and entertainment center is in the back of the kitchen pantry, not in the front cap area like most Front Living layouts so access the to pin box frame area was much easier).

The middle beam and supports in the picture was the thin factory support, the second beam and supports was added due to the fact when we loaded the pin box with weight, the thin Lippert beam was twisting, the shop added the second thicker wall beam to spread the load and stop the front beam from twisting
