Joe - OMG, thank goodness nobody was hurt. Our thoughts are with you and hope you can get everything settled quickly with the insurance and getting a new coach for the upcoming camping season.
Glad no one was hurt. It is hard to replace something like this. Mrs Karen and I pray that you both will find peace in this journey. And the next Redwood will give to you great memories and travel.
WE WISH ALL A BLESSED AND HAPPY EASTER!
The Arctic Cajuns
Thanks Andy... I plan on dropping a note to Tim to see if they could help find the RV my wife wants... The Rep that worked with them in the past was the reason I got into the Redwood to begin with.. Steve Scalia ( spelling??) was awesome and I worked with him , met Matt at an RV show 1 month ago, lets cross fingers...
Joe
Just a thought, but yo may want to pull your generator out before insurance looks at it.
Joe - I'll send a quick note to Tim, asking if he can contact you.
Wow Joe, just saw this post.
So sorry for your loss.
Hope everything works out and the insurance comes through and you are able to find another Redwood to fit your dreams.
I am so sorry! I'm glad no one was hurt. Material things can be replaced. Good luck on finding a great replacement rig.
Thanks Rob... I meet with the adjuster Thursday morning...
I have ALL my add on receipts...MOR/ryde IS...Disc Brakes...Generator..."H" tires...Slide Toppers...
Hoping I can get SOME of that back as well....
Thanks Andy... Spoke to Matt yesterday, have not heard from Tim... I assume he is a busy man and has larger things to worry about...
Joe, my heart just sank. Hoping it works out well with insurance and finding a great replacement. Bet you didn’t wake up that day expecting this to happen!!
Just heard yesterday Joe, so glad no one was on board! I would think as a total loss, along with receipts for your upgrades you should come out OK, but easy for me to say I guess.
Covered for entire cost if deemed a total loss... I bellied up receipts that totaled over $10k in upgrades and was told, NO... You have full replacement cost for original bill of sale ONLY, no add ons...
spent my free time this weekend removing the items from the Redwood, all that I have left are the batteries.. This is their 3rd year, so I am struggling with the idea of removing 2 batteries that weigh close to 70 # each to save a few years.. I am weighing the option of just using the factory/dealer supplied batts for 3 years.... same difference??
Got a call this morning, it is totaled ( who knew ?? ) Salvage will be coming in a day or 2 for it..
3 Years.... I probably would just leave them with it and get all new again. Were you able to pull your generator out??
Steve
Steve,
the generator and ALL it's connections are on a hydraulic die cart in my garage as we speak... The exhaust is laying under the coach.. The only 2 upgrades going with the salvage guy will be the discs and IS system..
